Locations are key elements to telling a story. Filmed entirely in South Carolina, Alienography, is set in the town of Mars Bluff, SC. While there is a community named Mars Bluff in South Carolina the production actually used Newberry, SC as the backdrop. Other locations used within the film were Peak and Bowman, South Carolina.
Newberry, SC’s Historical Downtown area provided a beautiful eerie backdrop for the film.This location was provided to the Alienography production team by a private resident.Nestled along the Palmetto Trail are historical train trestles not in use. Along the Peak to Prosperity passage of the trail proved to be a beautiful location for the film.The UFO Welcome Center makes a pivotal appearance in the film. This location is located in Bowman, SC and is owned/operated by Jody Pendarvis.Welcome to the center of Mars Bluff a town, which is eight miles across on both sides.
